This series of images documents in brief, pictures of some of the changes that came about in east London. A monumental operation in planning took place many years before. In preparation, for the London Olympics which took place in Stratford, East London in 2012. The regeneration changed the landscape forever.
The walk taken was from Bow Station, via the regenerated canal waterways. It was as beautiful as it was meaningful. I have also captured this in a series of images yet to be shown. Fast forward to the gift at the end of that walk in reverse order, heading to the entrance of the Olympic stadium. Join the bridge heading towards Stratford Station, you will find yourself welcomed by the most beautiful view.
A slight breeze brushed my ears, and cheeks about my face, as I took the opportunity, to capture the Skyline within the changing light at the end of that day as the magic happened.
The view, from the bridge, leading from the Olympic Park entrance is sublime. Walking the streets and canal tow paths revealed a sight not expected but the view from the bridge was much more than I had anticipated. All of this, as an additional gift at the end of a pretty sweet journey. A beautiful sight to see, and an opportunity I was glad I took. Go see for yourself, you won't be disapointed.
